Understanding the Life and Ministry Timeline of Les Feldick

Born on June 1, 1933, in Kinta, Oklahoma, Leslie "Les" Feldick grew up on a farm and developed a deep, lifelong passion for the scriptures. Before entering full-time television ministry, Feldick worked as a rancher and a heavy equipment operator. His transition into public teaching began informally through home Bible studies in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area during the 1970s. These classes grew rapidly due to his unique, conversational style and his strict adherence to a Pauline dispensational theology—emphasizing the distinct nature of the Church Age revealed to the Apostle Paul.

The informal classes eventually catalyzed the creation of the television program "Through the Bible." Filmed in studio settings with a live class audience, the program expanded from local Oklahoma broadcasts to national and international satellite networks, shortwave radio, and eventually digital streaming platforms.

Ministry Foundation: The core philosophy of Les Feldick Ministries has always relied entirely on voluntary contributions rather than high-pressure fundraising or institutional sponsorship. This grassroots model allowed the telecast to maintain complete doctrinal independence for over thirty years.

Analyzing the Doctrinal Framework and Teaching Methodology

Les Feldick’s enduring popularity stems from a distinct hermeneutical approach. While many mainstream theological programs focus heavily on topical sermons or practical life advice, Feldick committed his entire ministry to verse-by-verse exposition.

Key Pillars of the Teaching Methodology

1. The Pauline Revelation: A primary emphasis on distinguishing between the earthly ministry of Jesus under the Law (to the nation of Israel) and the revelation of the mystery given specifically to Paul for the Body of Christ.
2. Visual Mapping: The frequent use of hand-drawn timelines and charts on whiteboards, helping viewers conceptualize complex biblical epochs, covenants, and dispensations.
3. Unscripted Delivery: Les rarely used prepared notes during his television segments, relying instead on a conversational, memory-driven recall of scripture verses from Genesis to Revelation.
